Frequently Asked Questions

We offer lower pricing if you do not use one section. For example, if you opt to only use the weather section but not radar, and vice versa. The adjusted rate is $1.80/1,000 sessions. You can find the adjusted pricing calculator for that below:

  • You will need to follow guides to retrieve free API keys from sources like Twitter, YouTube, WordPress, Google Analytics and AdMob.
  • You may need to setup several accounts, like an Apple & Google Play developer account, to get your app up and running.
  • You will need to send us high resolution logo(s) for your business to be used across your app.

We will communicate at first through email (from joshua.adams@blizzardapps.com), and soon switch to Slack. If you have a communication platform you would much rather use, like Discord, please inform us.

Your app will generate revenue in multiple ways.

  • You can show Google AdMob ads, which can appear during app launch or as banner ads at the bottom of screens.
  • You can integrate any advertisers you have, and even target users geographically if applicable.
  • You can do a paid subscription, where you provide exclusive content like weather model analysis ahead of storms, as well as offer ad removal. This feature typically generates the most revenue based on our findings, and we will suggest optimal subscription pricing, trials, and lengths.
  • For Google AdMob, ad revenue will be paid out to the account you have setup under Payment Information in the AdMob control panel.
  • For Apple, your in-app subscription revenue will be paid out to the account you have setup under Banking in Agreements, Tax, & Banking within App Store Connect.
  • For Google Play, your in-app subscription revenue will be paid out to the account you have setup under the Payments profile tab, under the Setup tab within Google Play Console.
  • Your monthly bill includes expenses we incur for a given number of app sessions and associated data costs.
  • The monthly revenue is based on current median Google AdMob rates and average performance of in-app subscription offerings for our clients.
  • Your app has multiple paid API integrations including Mapbox (interactive maps), AccuWeather (minutely and location search data), and RainViewer (radar and satellite data).
  • These APIs measure usage and bill Blizzard Apps monthly. As a result, we bill you based on app sessions. This means you only pay for what you use.
  • Since Blizzard Apps is able to purchase data in bulk, you benefit from cheaper pricing versus having your own subscriptions.
  • You will only pay Blizzard Apps directly, based on monthly app sessions, at a rate of $2.50/1000 sessions.
  • You will be emailed an invoice between the 1st and 3rd of the following month, based on the previous months' app sessions.
  • We ask you pay an invoice no later than 10 business days after receiving the invoice.

You can view session statistics in the Blizzard Apps Portal. Statistics are updated automatically multiple times daily.

Yes, your website posts will appear in your app minutes after posting. Those viewing your website posts in your app will not weigh down your web server whatsoever, as we have an in-app article viewer and do not send users directly to your website.

You will send push notifications to app users in our app portal, which allows you to target users by their geographical position. You simply draw a geographic boundary on an interactive map! If you'd like to send automatic push notifications when you post new articles or YouTube videos, you can do so once and let it run forever without you having to do anything!

Yes! No need to worry, the simple and only answer is yes.
